When is the last time you created space for expansion?

I have had these two beauties for about a year and it was beginning to feel like they had outgrown their original pots, so I went in search of new homes that would allow them to expand and thrive. To no surprise that’s exactly what they did! Once they were given more space, they created new growth.

​The beauty on the left, let’s call her Ms. Marilyn (Monroe), almost immediately starting budding new leaves and growing taller. The beauty on the right, who will now be known as Melissa (McCarthy), brought new life in the form of a new start and growing wider. Each grew in the direction of space they were given, Marlyn’s pot was taller, therefore she grew in height. Melissa’s pot was wider, therefore she grew in width.

All of this got me thinking about the things that have created room for expansion in my life.

• Death has created an expansion of my heart and emotions that taught me the importance of living and loving to the fullest.
• Leaving my small and comfortable life to move to Los Angeles created expansion in my mind and realm of possibilities. Things I’d never thought possible were now achievable, which taught me to release all limitations.
• Traveling has created expansion in my empathy and humanity. I have met so many amazing people from all over the world, heard their stories and broadened my realm of reality. Everyone has something to teach us and I’m here for all of it!
• Throwing everything in storage and hitting the road for 4 months during Covid created expansion in my soul and deepened my level of gratitude. It was a full surrender to my nomad spirit. It taught me to only hold space for the things that fill my cup and fuel my passion. If it’s not a FUCK YES, it’s a NO!
• Moving across country and going from apartment living to a huge house created unimaginable expansion. This home has held the space for me to dive even deeper into me. In my last blog, I referred to it as a power nap or transformation from caterpillar to butterfly. I was over 2,700 miles away and knew the instant I saw her online. I didn’t even stepped foot inside until she was mine. I say she, cause this home feels like the warm embrace of a loving mother. She has taught me so many lessons; most importantly to always listen to my intuition and that I have the ability to manifest anything I desire.
